About Tiny Troubles Yorkies Breeder
Tiny Troubles Yorkies Top-Quality Yorkie Puppies in Arizona
The Yorkshire Terrier breed, affectionately known as "Yorkies," has long been a favorite pet of Americans and Europeans for their tiny toy size, smart personalities, and adorable expression. Though members of the Toy Group, they are terriers by nature and are brave, determined, investigative, and energetic.
Although the Yorkie is a small toy breed best known for its beautiful coat and spunky confident character, there are many wonderful characteristics that make this little dog so popular. The Yorkie is as fearless as a watchdog. He has a great sense of hearing and can usually hear someone coming long before they get to the door. However, they are not prone to being a yippy little dog that barks for no reason.
Of all the long-coated breeds, the Yorkie is the easiest to care for because they have a single coat of silken texture (no undercoat). Yorkies do not shed; the coat is much like human hair. You will find a few hairs in their brush, much like your own hair. If kept indoors and bathed weekly, Yorkies should not bother allergy sufferers. If you are not interested in the long coat, they are just as adorable with cute short and sassy haircuts.
They are ideal pets for people living in smaller spaces. They travel well and love attention.
The genetics of the rare and unusual chocolate color is simply the doubling of the recessive red gene that Yorkies carry. This same color is found in many other breeds: Dobermans, Labradors, and Dachshunds, to name a few.
The chocolate color, at this time, is not listed on the color choices on the registration form and is not considered an AKC standard. This could change to a standard color with AKC in the future. The AKC registration color is called "Liver and Tan." Registration will be completed with the correct color assigned by AKC with the submission of three photos (front and both sides).
